Ever found yourself standing in a makeup store and blankly staring at the many choices of foundations? Don't fear, I'm here to make your choice a little easier!

Firstly I'd just like to point out my skin type, as the following foundations are incredible for me, but may not necessarily be for others. I have normal/combination skin and love a medium, dewy finish. I am all about the glow - so if you're an oily gal, you may not love my favourites quite as much as me.

I've been a makeup artist for 6 years now and have tried foundation after foundation. Currently, I have 17 different foundations open in my shade...too much? Never. As a makeup artist I'm forever looking for "the one" and I think I may have recently found it on a trip to IMATs (International Makeup Artist Tradeshow). I'd heard about the brand Koh Gen Doh's "Aqua Foundation" mentioned numerous times throughout the beauty community, but never stumbled across it in person till last weekend. Let me tell you, this foundation is lightweight, dewy and basically the foundation of my dreams. I can put this baby on at 6:30am and not take it off till 9pm and it still looks flawless. My pores are blurred, my skin is luminous and it's safe to say I'm OBSESSED.

Runner up has to be my trusty MAC Face and Body Foundation. I love this one. People are often turned off by the watery consistency, but if you're after more coverage, simply massage this foundation into your skin in a circular motion, and the heat of your hands will help to thicken the product. This product is amazing for hot, humid weather as it's water resistant - making it incredible for tropical holidays!

Next up is It Cosmetics CC+ Cream Illumination SPF50+. I have seen a lot of good things about the original CC from It Cosmetics, but me being the glowy obsessed person I am, I went with the illuminating formula. This one gives so much coverage for a CC! I was so surprised and it looks stunning. I love wearing this one when I know I'll be out and about in the sun considering it has such a high SPF.

Last off, but still amazing, is NARS Sheer Glow. I love the coverage of this foundation, it's so buildable with a beautiful glow as the name promises. I find out of all these foundations, this tends to separate a little around my nose by the end of the day, but overall I still love it!

I hope this has helped some of you out or at least introduced you to some brands you may not have had a chance to try out yet!
